GlaxoSmithKline UK Pharmaceuticals selects PHOENIX in new Reduced Wholesale Model distribution agreement
GSK UK Pharmaceuticals are changing the distribution model for medicines from the current Direct to Pharmacy model to a Reduced Wholesaler model, from 1st November 2018.
In a Reduced Wholesaler model, GSK will sell products to PHOENIX, which means our customers will have access to GSK’s prescription portfolio.
Therefore from 1st November 2018, you can place your orders for GSK’s prescription portfolio through PHOENIX.
“GSK’s decision will be warmly welcomed by all our dispensing customers” says Steve Anderson, Group managing director PHOENIX UK.
Commenting on GSK UK Pharmaceuticals’ decision to select PHOENIX UK as one of three companies that will distribute GSK’s prescription medicines to community pharmacies, hospitals and dispensing doctors Steve said, “GSK’s decision will be warmly welcomed by all our dispensing customers as it will provide them with greater convenience when ordering the GSK prescription medicines they need for their patients.”
The new arrangement will allow PHOENIX UK to supply GSK’s prescription portfolio to its dispensing customers throughout the UK, on a wholesale basis rather than the current Direct to Pharmacy model, with effect from 1st November 2018.
We look forward to working with GSK as a partner helping to meet the nation’s healthcare needs and improving access to medicines for both primary and secondary care.
